Abstract. The purpose of the work was to assess the efficacy of combination decontamination of the intestine in treatment of sepsis in infants. Clinical observation was performed on 53 infants (aged 1 month − 1 year) with sepsis. The method of combination intestine decontamination included enterosorption and selective intestine decontamination using oral antibiotic therapy with antibiotics influencing only conventionally pathogenic flora preserving bifido− and lactoflora (gentamicin, canamicin, ercefuril, funistatin). It was shown that the use of combination of decontamination with basic therapy yielded significant reduction of laboratory indices of non−specific endogenous intoxication already on day 10 of treatment and reduced the period of treatment by one week when compared with basic therapy.

Key words: infants, sepsis, combination intestine decontamination.
