COMBINED TREATMENT OF THE PATIENTS WITH COLORECTAL CANCER WITH METASTASES TO THE LIVER

The problem of surgical treatment for metastases to the liver in patients with colorectal cancer is featured. It is shown that modern pharmaceutical techniques using monoclonal antibodies to epidermal and vascular growth factor allow to transfer a large amount of cases of liver metastases from inoperable to operable ones, which considerably increases the life span of the patients with metastatic colorectal cancer.
