SIGMONEOCYSTOPLASTY: A METHOD OF URINE DERIVATION AFTER CYSTECTOMY
The experience of sigmoid colon use in forming orthoptic urinary bladder after radical cystectomy for cancer is reported. Presence of dolichosigmoid is considered an indication to neocystoplasty. The necessity of prevention of ascending reflux pyelonephritis at formation of orthoptic neocyst is emphasized. Two variants of the original surgical techniques are described.
